Week 49 - My photo of the week

Whilst out walking Maggie along the Hilsea to Mountbatten path and back, on Tuesday 3rd Dec 2024, late afternoon. I managed to get this Image as the Crow landed on the sea defence wall , shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 150-600mm f6.3 zoom at 600mm on my speedi gimbal..

Week 48 - My photo of the week

Following Mondays early evening photo session with the Emsworth U3a camera group trying to capture road/traffic light trails on Pook Lane footbridge over the A27.  I managed to shot this image with both the traffic light trails and the setting sun,  with my Olympus OM-1 plus the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens on a tripod with a exposure time of 60sec at f22, with ISO at 200.

Week 47 - My photos of the week

My photos of the week are from my late afternoon visit to Bognor Regis of Friday 22nd November 24, just before storm Brett hit us, so managed to get a shot of sunset from the esplanade, not one of my best shots as the forecast predicted no low cloud,. No the way home via the train I managed to get a light trial of a train leaving the station, both images shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens on a tripod.

Week 46 -My photos of the week

We had a little trip up to Glentress Mountain bike centre in Scotland (3 days) then moved onto Derbyshire (2days), my first image was taken whilst on a walk up to Buzzards Nest area walking through a wooden area with such lovely autumn coloured tress and path, the second image was taken  just by where we stopped for the night in Baslow, when we awoke to our first frosty morning, just love the colours of tress. Both images shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 pro lens handheld.

Week 45 - My photo of the week

As part of our U3a photography group at Emsworth, we where set to shot one image representing autumn in Emsworth, so I decided to go down the wild life path, On my early morning visit to Emsworth the River Ems Nature Reserve, and managed to get a shot of a Little Egret fishing in one of the small streams. I was using my Olympus OM-1 with the 150-600mm photo zoom on a monopod with the speed gimbal .

Week 44 - My photo of the week

Visited a very buzzy National Trust Stourhead on Friday morning and walked around the grounds and managed to get the iconic shoot with the trees in lovely autumn colour, shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens hand held, on a still, but dull day weather conditions , giving a lovely still mirror lake with mirror like reflections.

Managed to get out and drive the van on Thursday afternoon, so drove to Portchester castle  to walk mad Maggie, also managed to get some shots, however only this image was worth showing, a black & white photo, shot  inside the castle grounds with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens handheld.

Week 42 - My photo of the week

Four weeks ago I added a bird butter with worms to our bird feeder in the back garden, and this week the Starlings's returned to the feeder  and on Thursday 17th October 24 morning and I managed to get this image whilst sitting in our conservatory shot with my Olympus OM1 with the 150-600mm telephoto zoom at 600mm, on a monopod with the speedi gimbal head.

Week 41- Mt photo of the week

Managed to get out of the house and visit/walk the new section of the new Southsea Castle frontage, and managed to capture an image of the regenerated band stand, just as the sun popped out and lit up the gold star and moon on top of the roof, shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 14-42mm EZ lens hand held.

Week 39 - My photo of the week

Whilst out on a walk with Maggie (mad Cocker Spaniel) a couple a weeks ago from home Cosham to Fareham via the  South Coast Path I managed to get s shot of a Chinook helicopter trying to take off from Fleetlands, from Cams Hall side of Fareham Creek using my Olympus OM-1 with 150-600mm telephoto lens at 600mm on a monopod, with a Speedi Gimbal.
