Week 12 - My photos of the week

A couple photos of the week, from our trip on a narrow boat from Bradford-on-Avon wharf to Bath upper lock basin and back, along the Kennet and Avon canal last week. All images shot with my OMD OM-3 with either the 12-40mm or 40-150mm f2.8 Pro lens, 1st image of a Heron in the early morning sun with the 40-150mm plus a 1.4x Convert handheld, 2nd image sunsetting over Bath with the 12-40 mm shot from the canal towpath handheld, the 3rd image a night shot of Pulteney Bridge and weir on the River Avon at Bath, with the 12-40mm lens on a tripod.

Week 11 - My photos of the week

This week three black & white 35mm film images shot at the end of 2024 with my Olympus 35RC and the OM-4Ti, all with ilford HP4 plus film developed locally. The negatives where scanned using my OMD OM-3 digital camera at home and processed in Lightroom, the first two images with the 35RC at Emsworth and Charles Dickens house in Portsmouth, and the last with the OM-4Ti at Winchester.

Week 10 - My photo of the week

At last I managed to get a good sunset image of Stonehenge shot on Tuesday 4th March on a cold clear sky evening using my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens on a tripod.

Week 9 - My photos of the week

A couple of images from my trip to London with the Emsworth U3a Camera Workshop group, where we visited Brick Lane and the north bank from Tower Bridge to Westminster, managed to get these two time lapsed shots of the London Eye and Beg Ben, with my Olympus Om-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens on a tripod.

Week 8 - My photo of the week

My photo of the week was shot, whilst visiting Stour Meadows at Blandford Forum, early  on Wednesday morning trying to capture Otters and Kingfishers, however no luck, but managed to capture this Swan resting on the top section of the River Stour weir, with my Olympus OM-1 plus the 150-600mm f6.3 telephoto zoom at 600mm using my monopod and speedi gimbal.

Only managed one morning out this week and got this image whilst out walking Maggie along the side of Tipner Lake on the 16th Feb, of a Brent Goose standing in the early morning sun, shot with my Olympus OM-1 plus 150-600mm telephoto zoom at 600mm using a monopod with the speedi adapter.

Week 6 - My photo of the week

Following a visit to South Wales last week/weekend, we visited the National Trust at Aberdulais, Neath, Port Talbot, South Wales,  which changed the world from tinplate to copper, however the water wheel was out of action and fully covered up. How ever I managed to get a shot of the River Dulais waterfall, in vey dull and cold weather condition, with my Olympus OM-1 and the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens handheld.

My photo of the week is a sunset at Bosham on Thursday 30.01.2025 at 17:00, shot from the east end of the Bosham Quay at low tide with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens on a tripod, not one of the most spectacular sunsets, but the best on show that day.
