Managed to get out of the house and visit/walk the new section of the new Southsea Castle frontage, and managed to capture an image of the regenerated band stand, just as the sun popped out and lit up the gold star and moon on top of the roof, shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 14-42mm EZ lens hand held.

This weeks - my photo of the week is a shot of a red rose in our garden taken with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm Pro lens at 40mm shot on a tripod. whilst the sun was shinning onto it.

Whilst out on a walk with Maggie (mad Cocker Spaniel) a couple a weeks ago from home Cosham to Fareham via the  South Coast Path I managed to get s shot of a Chinook helicopter trying to take off from Fleetlands, from Cams Hall side of Fareham Creek using my Olympus OM-1 with 150-600mm telephoto lens at 600mm on a monopod, with a Speedi Gimbal.

Due to recovering from a replace knee op three weeks and being house bound, and trying to stop cabin fever I took some shots of objects around the house with my Olympus OM-1 + 12-40mm Pro lens hand held, managed to get an image of the wood burner stove fan whilst spinning, in black and white.

Managed to get out with the camera on Tuesday morning at Langstone, and got the following image of an Egret roosting in a tree soaking up the early morning sun, shot with my Olympus OM-1 with 40-150mm Pro lens at 150mm handheld.

Visited Southsea castle on Tuesday 27th August 2024, to try to capture the clear low cloud sunset , but as always the weather did not turn out as forecasted, however managed to capture the image below with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm Pro lens on a tripod.

Came across a field of sunflowers whilst out on bike ride with Sue from home to West Wittering beach and back via the Salterns Way cycle track on Friday 30th August 2024, and managed to get this shot with my Olympus OM5 plus the 14-42mm Ez lens hand held.

A couple of images shot inside Racton Monument ruin a couple of weeks ago, during sunset with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm Pro lens hand held.

Spent Monday 12th August evening with couple of photo pals  at Maybush Copse, Cot Lane, Chesham, West Sussex a dark sky park, great for for my first attempt at stargazing  and starry photography, managed get an image of a meteor with two plane light trials (1st Image), then an image of the Aurora not visible to eye (2nd image), all shot with my Olympus OM-1 with the 12-40mm Pro lens at 12mm on a tripod using the starry mode, a fantastic evening of stars, meteors and aurora photography.

Managed to get the following image of a ship awaiting is final fate at Tipner Lake slipways, Portsmouth harbour, follow a walk through dense  under growth and a small huddle of climbing over a fence, myself and Maggie the mad Cocker Spaniel made in time for the evening sunset, photo shot with my Olympus  OM-1 with the 12-40mm Pro lens at 40mm, on a tripod, on Sunday evening.

Another wonderful couple of hours spent at Northlake, Portsmouth, on Sunday afternoon getting shots of the Damselflies and Dragonflies and very please with the image below shot using pro-capture mode with my Olympus OM-1 plus the 150-600mm zoom lens .
